Ital Tek to release third album on Planet Mu

According to Planet Mu, “Alan Myson is entering a new phase, of which last year’s Gonga EP was the first step” as he explores styles of music with higher tempos as he “[reacts] to developments in dubstep, jungle and more recently footwork, retraining Ital Tek‘s instinct for deep and melodic music with an emphasis on dramatic drum work and impressionistic synths with restrained precision.”

Review: Last Step – Sleep

Last Step is just one of many aliases employed by Aaron Funk, the man we’ve come to know and possibly love as Venetian Snares. Recorded in those final moments between waking and sleeping, ‘Sleep’ was produced by Last Step in an attempt to capture the surreal state of semi-consciousness, often nodding off and waking up several times in the process.

Traxman prepares album for Planet Mu

One of juke/footwork’s leading lights Traxman has announced he will be releasing new LP on Planet Mu. With a back catalogue that stretches as far back as the mid-90′s and Planet Mu’s increasing interest in footwork, it seems surprising that the new 18 track CD will be his first for the label.
