Review: Lindstrøm – Smalhans

Released on Smalltown Supersound, Lindstrøm‘s ‘Smalhans’ differs somewhat from its proggy, leftfield predecessor, ‘Six Cups Of Rebel’. With antiquated disco synths shimmering over a deep and luscious low end, ‘Smallhans’ is an immediate return to the dancefloor, recorded straight after ‘Six ‘Cups.

Lindstrøm leaks Oneohtrix Point Never remix of ‘Call Me Anytime’

Lindstrøm and Oneohtrix Point Never might not seem like the perfect collaboration at first glance, but when you consider the former’s new approach on his latest album ‘Six Cups Of Rebel’ it begins to make sense. Discarding the usual disco basslines and pop hooks in favour of what he considers prog-rock-influenced techno, Lindstrøm’s music takes on an entirely different feel, especially once reworked by Oneohtrix Point Never.

Listen to some new Lindstrøm

Having not released anything of note since 2009′s collaborative LP with Christabelle, Lindstrøm is set to return with a new album entitled ‘Six Cups Of Rebel’. The new album is set for an early 2012 release on Smalltown Supersound.
