DFRNT launches AGC Esquire alias

As DFRNT, Alex Cowles treated us to a lot of modest, downtempo house and techno that kicked big bass wobbles to the curb. Well, in the spirit of the unexpected, Cowles is launching a new side-project as AGC Esquire in which he explores “overly cheesy 80s retro synth and drum stuff”.

Listen to a track from DFRNT’s new EP

Scottish producer and boss of online label Cut, Alex Cowles (aka DFRNT) has just released the tenth edition of Cut’s free EPs. The new EP titled ‘Actaeon’ features three original tracks and two DFRNT remixes of other artists, one of Smoothiesforme and another of Seba.
