XLR8R’s resident house doctor, Nick Hook, has teamed up with Soo Wavey bosses Matrixxman and Vin Sol for a glorious three-track EP full of ghetto samples, frenetic beats and crisp handclaps.
Taking their cues from the no-nonsense club music of Dance Mania and Trax, these three producers celebrate the golden age of ghetto house, albeit with slightly higher production values. Having said that, they do little to stray from the “drum machine + chopped vocal sample” formula that has been tried and tested over the years.
You can preview the EP below before it is released on vinyl on 25th March and then digitally on 8th April via Cardopusher and Nehuen‘s Classicworks label.
