It may seem hard to believe, but after all these years this is actually Starkey‘s debut EP for his own Seclusiasis label. Having released two volumes of the Street Bass Anthems series and a hard-hitting 12″ with Trim and Leah Smith, Starkey is finally read to release an EP on the label.
The five-track EP ‘Inter-Mission’ EP contains five original tracks, one of which is the aforementioned collaboration with Leah Smith, marking the first time the track has been made digitally available. The EP also features collaborations with Nina Smith, Karizma and Philadelphia-based MC Curly Castro over several tracks that span R&B, soul, heavy bass music and uptempo beats.
In addition, the guys at Seclusiasis have also announced they will be releasing a limited run of Street Bass snapback hats in conjunction with Pittsburgh-based streetwear brand, Grand Scheme. Pre-orders will be taken very soon so keep checking back at the Seclusiasis site so you don’t miss out.
‘Inter-Mission’ comes out on March 25th via Seclusiasis. Take a listen to a radio rip of the track’s premiere on Skream & Benga’s BBC Radio 1 show below.
