Well, 2012 is almost behind us and once again the apocalypse has yet to arrive. Predictions for an apocalyptic meltdown are becoming so frequent that it’s all starting to feel a bit like Waiting For Godot.

Future Grooves unleash second instalment of free compilations
Following on from the first volume, released back in June, Future Grooves are releasing another free compilation of rising stars. Designed around the principle that these compilations should feature artists with fewer than 1000 followers on Soundcloud, the closest to an “established” artist is Philthkids (excluding the Digital Mystikz bootleg of course).
Autechre to release eleventh LP in March
IDM megalodons Autechre have announced they will be releasing their eleventh full-length album next year. Entitled ‘Exai’, the full release will be available in a bewildering array of formats, each with their own special bonuses and freebies.
Burial unveils new 12″ for Hyperdub
