Benjamin Damage has taken time away from his frequent collaborations with Doc Daneeka to produce his debut solo album for Modeselektor’s 50Weapons. The new album, ‘Heliosphere’, comes hot on the heels of his recent ‘Swarm / Headache’ 12″, also on 50Weapons.
Shiftee and Badman Shark team up for EKG Riddim
2xDMC Champion, Dubspot Program Director, Traktor poster boy and Hot Mom USA label boss, DJ Shiftee has joined forces with Mishka accomplice and NYC party instigator Badman Shark for the “dark and pounding” ‘EKG Riddm’. Released on Slit Jockey (Seclusiasis’ grimey counterpart), the EP features a host of remixes from the likes of Mr. Mitch, Spooky, Jakes and J.Beatz.

Poirier launches new alias
Taking a step back from the soca, dub and dancehall-influenced sounds he champions under his surname, Ghislain Poirier has launched a new project, Boundary. The new alias promises to explore “hard hitting minimalistic soundscapes and channel the spirit of classic IDM, ambient and techno.”

Review: Photek – KU:PALM
Released on his own Photek Productions, ‘KU:PALM’ is Rupert “Photek” Parkes’ First album in over a decade (excluding 2007′s ‘Form & Function Vol. 2).
