Jacques Greene‘s unquestionably classy label Vase today announced the release of a selection of five unreleased tracks, modestly titled ‘VSE07′. While I have to admit I’m only really familiar with Mr. Greene, Ango and Zodiac, this EP should give you, as it has me, a neat little opportunity to acquaint oneself with the rest of the Vase family.
Throwing Snow has announced his next release, the four-track ‘Aspera’ EP will be self-released through his own Snowfall imprint. The new EP will be the second EP this year from the UK producer, following on from the hugely well-received ‘Clamor’ EP earlier this year.
Halo Cyan are a label that piqued my interest recently with a succession of well-produced, slick EPs from some of my favourite artists, all done with utmost modesty. Every release has pretty much identical artwork (blue background, plain text) yet time and time again their releases are featured in the best of lists of those in the know.
Germany’s latest patron of ambient techno, Pantha Du Prince is currently putting the finishing touches to his collaborative five track album, ‘Elements Of Light’, with The Bell Laboratory. Set for release on 14th January, ‘Elements Of Light’ promises to be a futuristic and engaging collection of throbbing bass, precise instrumentation and melody.
Another past KOTJ contributor, Dev79 recently dropped this little beauty and it’s possibly the most laid back release he’s put out in a while. Whatever you’re expecting, you’re not even close.
Former KOTJ podcast contributor and one of Civil Music‘s latest signings, Pixelord recently released one of the finest remix packages to grace my laptop in a long time. With remixes from Chrissy Murderbot, XLII, Raja and of course XI, it is the latter’s interpretation of ‘Vibrate’ that really stands out.
