Seclusiasis and its sister Slit Jockey really don’t have to much to earn their place on this page, but time and time again they exceed our expectations with something truly wonderful. This summer has been an exceptionally busy one for both imprints, with a slew of singles, compilations and LPs tumbling out one after another so it can get rather difficult to keep up with them all.
Label head Starkey‘s new 12″ release with former Roll Deep member and general man-about-town Trim has already turned more than a few heads and it’s barely been mentioned to the masses. ‘DPMO’ is an insanely well-executed track with equal measures 8-bar grime, IDM and funky with possibly the sickest drum pattern I’ve heard this year.
‘DPMO’ will be released 10 September on Slit Jockey. In the mean time, you can stream a clip of it below and then get really sad when it finishes.
