Nascent footwork label Lit City Trax have announced the forthcoming album from one of the label’s chiefs DJ Rashad, entitled ‘TEKLIFE Vol. 1: Welcome To The Chi’. The brand new label set up with cohorts DJ Spinn and J-Cush promises to offer only the finest in juke and footwork.
The new Rashad album will feature an overwhelming 20 tracks of breakneck tom toms and ghetto samples, with Spinn & Rashad’s latest protégé DJ Manny joining the Chicagoan producer for a track entitled ‘Over Ya Head’. As expected, DJ Spinn will also join his partner in crime on a few tracks, most notably on ‘We Trippy Mane’.
‘TEKLIFE Vol. 1: Welcome To The Chi’ is due on June 5. You can peak the tracklist below. Lit City’s next release, ‘The Manny N Rashad Show’, is set to follow later this year.
