“Philly is ace cuz it’s raw like that. It’s a gritty, grimey city that loves to hate. Add to that the talent pool here is on some bonkers shit. So many crazy talented musicians and artists here that are straight murking shit. Yet getting shine here is often serious battle.
“That’s why you often see Philadelphia artists seek recognition elsewhere. The last few years I’ve felt a bit more of an appreciative vibe within the city, which is great and I hope that continues so we can have a better self-nurtured scene. I’ve always been a fan of underground warehouse and loft parties and Philly has a pretty dope consistency of happenings in that realm.
“Besides music stuff, we have a lot of seriously banging food here – and I’m not just talking about fucking cheesesteaks!. You could stuff yer face with different shit every day and always have a satisfied palette and belly. I love Philly, even though the city often makes me bang my head against the wall.”
