Dance music in the broader sense can be a lot of fun, though you wouldn’t know it right now. So it’s refreshing that there are still producers out there building on stuff like 2 Live Crew and the Miami Bass scene. One such individual is New Yorker Cobra Krames, whom you may remember from his collaborative ‘Dubstep Dickens’ mix with 77Klash a couple of years ago.
His new EP ‘Pure Ass’ is an appropriately booty-shaking house number with lashings of nasty bass, moombahton shrieks and sirens, ghetto samples and sleazy vocals. The latter can be credited to one Pink Cash, a newcomer in my eyes, but someone who could potentially rival Rye Rye or Azealia Banks.
‘Pure Ass’ is out now on Moveltraxx, you can grab your copy from all the usual stops. In the meantime, stream the EP below and download ‘I Like To’, which is taken from the EP, below that for absolutely zero pounds.
