At the risk of becoming a Maribou State bulletin board, it has come to my attention that quixotic newcomer MAO has reimagined the titular track from the shit-hot gentlemen duo Maribou State’s new EP ‘Olivia’. There’s not a great deal of information about this guy MAO (even his Facebook page was a bugger to find), but I think his efforts speak for themselves.
The timing of this little bundle of joy is impeccable, with just days to go before ‘Olivia’ is officially released, Maribou State are on the promotional warpath. And to that end, they’ve made Mao’s remix available for free download.
What is clear is that MAO himself also has a record coming out very soon. ‘Emeralds’ b/w ‘Harken will be released through Bad Life on April 2.
‘Olivia’ will be released by Fat! Records on February 6. You can grab the remix below by clicking on the arrow on the right of the console, or you can just stream it. Whatever, stop going on about it.
