It’s been a long time coming but we’re finally ready to give you the next installment of KOTJ Radio, this time with Siberian youngster Aleph taking on the hosting duties with a playful romp through the best of future Garage, Disco, Techno, Dubstep and Chillwave.
Having already been featured on Tom Ravenscroft’s show last week, Aleph is already well on his way to success. His unique take on the chillwave epidemic draws influences as disparate as House, R&B, Techno, Crunk, Disco, Grime and Dubstep. While that may sound bewildering, or even balmy, the blend is subtle and the results satisfying.
Shimmering synths and psychedelic sci-fi seem to be the order of the day as Aleph mixes together beautiful remixes from Kastle and Salva with some lesser known originals from Young Smoke, LDFD and kidkanevil, as well as Distal’s ubiquitous remix of Clicks & Whistles’ ‘Cranberry Juice’. Grab Aleph’s mixtape below, before checking out his ‘From Chaos To Cosmos’ EP on King Deluxe.
