At just 19, Alfie McGibbons’ output as Graphics is nothing short of staggering, with a wealth of singles and remixes under his belt. His latest EP ‘Mama Grizzlies’ is a dark, brooding affair with lots of percussive stabs and forboding synths.
A track that didn’t quite make it to the Sarah Palin-referencing ‘Mama Grizzlies’ EP, ‘MacGrackleton’ is probably McGibbon’s most club-friendly work to date. Having said that, it’s still thoroughly downtempo; shimmering vocal cuts echo over snappy synth pads and dubby underwater basslines.
